Family Room

Directly off our lobby, this space is available for very young, wiggly children and their caregivers who can watch the service via livestream.

Vacation Bible School

The first week of June each year, kids experience a week-long time of intentional, age-appropriate FUN as they learn about Jesus. With songs, games, skits, activities, and more, this is one of our favorite weeks of the year!

Grow Night

During Grow Night, our church shares a meal and attends age-appropriate classes to deepen our faith. During Spring and Fall sessions for 8-10 weeks at a time, elementary kids have teaching, activities, and scripture memorization with trusted Refresh Kids teachers and helpers. Childcare is also available for walkers - kindergarten.

Family Sundays

A few times a year, we pause Next Gen ministries (including Refresh Kids) to worship all together as a family. At this time, we intentionally involve kids and teens in the worship service. If your child would like to help read Scripture, greet, pass offering baskets, and more, please let us know, and we will be happy to reach out with an opportunity!

Child Dedication

Commemorate the birth or adoption of a child along with the church! Child dedication is a special time for parents and families to corporately dedicate themselves to raising their young children in the ways of Jesus. It’s also a time for the members of Refresh Community Church to publicly partner with you. You are not alone! We, as a church, want to help walk alongside you and your children - praying for you, caring for your family, and equipping you with resources and support as you lead your children in the nurture and admonition of the Lord.

Sensory Room

Located in our Refresh Kids hallway, our sensory room is specifically for kids with sensory needs so that they can take a break or learn about Jesus in a safe, fun environment. Children who use this space have a unique plan tailored to their needs and have a trained Refresh Kids helper with them.

Want to talk about your child’s needs? Email Lauren@refreshcommunity.church.

Family Spaces

We provide several alternative spaces for parents when Refresh Kids isn’t the right fit for your child’s needs or stage of life. All spaces include access to the service livestream.

  • Nursing Mothers Room – A quiet, private space for feeding and caring for infants.
  • Family Room – For families with young, active children. Closed play area with parent supervision required.
  • Lobby Play Space – Engaging area for older children who need a short break, with parent/guardian supervision.

Frequently Asked Questions

What Do You Believe About Discipling and Teaching Children?

We believe parents are the primary disciple-makers in their children’s lives, and our role is to walk alongside families—encouraging, supporting, and praying for them as they raise the next generation of healthy, mature disciples.

We believe discovering God’s Word should be joyful, not boring. As Jesus said, “Let the little children come to me” (Matthew 19:14), we want kids to enjoy learning about Him in ways that fit their age and stage of life.

We believe the church should partner with parents and caregivers, equipping them with resources to shepherd their children well. We are for you—and honored to love and care for your kids as they grow into the men and women God has called them to be.

What Curriculums Do You Use?

Ages 2–Kindergarten: First Look (Orange) – Weekly lessons that teach:

  • God made me.
  • God loves me.
  • Jesus wants to be my friend forever.

Grades 1–5: The Gospel Project for Kids (Lifeway) – Chronological, 3-year walk through the Bible from Genesis to Revelation. Each month explores a “Big Picture” question (e.g., What is worship? Does God keep His promises?).
