Why is giving important?
Giving is a form of worship and a response to God’s boundless grace and generosity. It expresses that all we have and give already belongs to God. Giving reminds us that God is our provider and we trust him. We should desire to give – cheerfully, sacrificially and regularly – because that is how God has given to us.
Who should consider giving?
All followers of Jesus are invited to support God’s work through the local church. Throughout history, giving was a dignity and opportunity extended to everyone, regardless of how much they had to give. God has placed the Church in the world to impact the world with the message of grace and forgiveness through Jesus. That can only happen when those who follow Jesus also support the work of the church.

How is the money used here?
When you give to Refresh Community Church you are also a part of what God is doing in our local communities and across the world. Your contributions support everything we do. Sunday Service, Grow Night, Kids and Student Ministry, University City School District, missionaries, staff–even coffee are all funded by the giving of our members and attenders.

How do I determine
how much to give?
God does not need our money. He is after our hearts. But it is impossible to truly love God and not obey his call to give. It is a matter of the heart and meant to be a joyful expression of thanks to God from the heart. The New Testament encourages giving without providing specific percentages or numbers. The amount we give should come through active seeking of His will for our finances. The amount we give, should be a sacrifice and require us to trust God.

Note: Bank transfers are preferred because the fee for each transfer is a flat $0.30 rather than a percentage.
